Flexible paper drilling systems 246-10 and 246-30

This paper drilling system is the perfect solution for the most demanding requirements. This is because it is designed for in-line operation and can be integrated with a wide variety of other systems. For example, with three-knife trimmers, adhesive binders and saddle stitchers – in these applications, it achieves a throughput of up to 2,000 stacks per hour. Thanks to its servo drives for drilling feed and material transport, it is suitable for drilling both adhesive-bound and saddle-stitched products (not for loose-leaf publications).

Benefits

  • Suitable for integration with saddle stitchers, adhesive binders, three-knife trimmers or similar equipment.
  • Separation using a stack pusher from the front, pneumatically operated
  • Safe and gentle transport of the stacks via 2 pneumatically lowerable clamps
  • Positioning device for aligning the stacks in the direction of transport
  • Flexible, high-performance drilling system for maximum production output for adhesive-bound and stapled products
  • The tangential chain drive enables extremely easy adjustment and replacement of the drill heads
  • Quick, repeatable format changeovers thanks to two positioning spindles and digital position displays
  • Options for saving all parameters for retrieval in the event of repeat orders
  • Drilling stroke with dynamic servo motor drive
  • Soft-start mode to improve performance and reduce drill breakage
  • Adjustable dynamic transport speed of the stacks via a servomotor drive
  • Capacity: up to 2,000 stacks per hour, depending on stack height and paper quality
  • Feeding of stacks from the left (246-10)
  • Feeding of stacks from the right (246-30)

  • Automatically synchronised cardboard drilling mat, 300 m long
  • Drill cooling and lubrication system, including a macro oil metering and atomisation unit, guaranteed to be residue-free and non-dripping
  • Drill breakage monitoring with a drill breakage sensor
  • Modem for remote diagnostics
