What do we use your data for?

Some of the data is collected to ensure that the website functions correctly and without errors. Other data can be used to analyse your user behaviour.

What rights do you have with regard to your data?

You shall have the right at any time and free of charge to obtain information about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data. You can contact us at any time at the address given in the Legal Notice for this and other questions on the subject of data protection. Furthermore, you shall have the right to appeal to the competent supervisory authority.

You also have the right, under certain circumstances, to request that your personal data be restricted. Details on this can be found in the Data Protection Declaration under “Right to Restriction of Processing”.

The analysis of your surfing behaviour is usually anonymous; the surfing behaviour cannot be traced back to you. You may object to this analysis or prevent it by not using certain tools. You will find detailed information on this in the following Data Protection Declaration.

Right to object to data collection in special cases and to direct advertising (Art. 21 GDPR)

If data processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 item e or f GDPR, you shall have the right at any time to object to the processing of your personal data for reasons arising from your particular situation; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. The respective legal basis on which processing is based can be found in this Data Protection Declaration. If you file an objection, we will no longer process your personal data concerned unless we can prove compelling reasons for the processing worthy of protection which outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms or the processing serves the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims (objection according to Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR).

If your personal data is processed for the purpose of direct advertising, you shall have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for the purpose of such advertising; this shall also apply to profiling insofar as it is connected with such direct advertising. If you object, your personal data will then no longer be used for direct marketing purposes (objection pursuant to Art. 21 para. 2 GDPR).

Right of appeal to the competent supervisory authority

In the event of infringements of the GDPR, the persons concerned have the right to appeal to a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of their habitual residence, their workplace or the location of the alleged infringement. The right of appeal shall be without prejudice to other administrative or judicial remedies.

Right to data portability.

You shall have the right to have data which we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in the performance of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a widely-used, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another responsible person, this will only be done as far as it is technically feasible.

SSL or TLS encryption.

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Information, blocking, deletion and rectification

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information concerning your stored personal data, its origin and recipient and the purpose of the data processing and, if applicable, a right to rectification, blocking or deletion of this data. You can contact us at any time at the address given in the Legal Notice for this and other questions on the subject of personal data.

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time at the address given in the Legal Notice for this. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:

  • If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored with us, we usually need time to verify this. For the duration of the examination, you have the right to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
  • If the processing of your personal data has taken place unlawfully, you can demand the restriction of data processing instead of its deletion.
  • If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it for the exercise, defence or assertion of legal claims, you have the right to demand the restriction of processing of your personal data instead of its deletion.
  • If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21 Para. 1 GDPR, a balance must be struck between your interests and ours. As long as it is not yet clear whose interests predominate, you shall have the right to demand that the processing of your personal data be restricted.

If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, such data - apart from its storage - may only be processed with your consent or for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of an important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.

Cookies

The web pages partly use what are known as cookies. Cookies cause no damage to your computer and contain no viruses. Cookies serve to make our site more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and that your browser saves.

Most of the cookies we use are what are known as “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted after the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, accept cookies for certain cases or exclude them altogether and activate the automatic clearing of cookies when you close your browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

Cookies which are necessary for the electronic communication process or for the provision of certain functions requested by you (e.g. shopping basket function) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 item f GDPR. The website operator has a justified interest in the storage of cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of their services. As far as other cookies (e.g. cookies for the analysis of your surfing behaviour) are stored, these are treated separately in this Data Protection Declaration.

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in what are known as server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

A merging of this data with other data sources is not performed.

This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 item f GDPR. The website operator has a justified interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of their website - for this purpose the server log files must be recorded.

Contact form

If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form including the contact data you provided there will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We shall not pass on this data without your consent.

The processing of the data entered in the contact form is therefore carried out exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 item a GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. To do so, an informal e-mail to us will be sufficient. The legality of the data processing operations carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data entered by you in the contact form will remain with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.

Enquiries by e-mail, telephone or fax

If you contact us by e-mail, telephone or fax, your request including all personal data (name, request) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request. We shall not pass on this data without your consent.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 item b GDPR if your request is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases the processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 item a GDPR) and / or on our legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 item f GDPR), since we have a legitimate interest in the effective processing of the inquiries addressed to us.

The data you send us via contact requests will remain with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions - in particular statutory retention periods - shall remain unaffected.

Processing of data (customer and contract data)

We collect, process and use personal data only to the extent necessary for the establishment, content-related design or amendment of the legal relationship (inventory data). This is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 item b GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures. We collect, process and use personal data about the use of our Internet pages (usage data) only to the extent necessary to enable the user to make use of the service or to bill the user.

The customer data collected will be deleted after completion of the order or termination of the business relationship. Legal retention periods shall remain unaffected.

5. Analysis tools and advertising

Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics uses what are known as “cookies”. These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable the analysis of your use of the website. The information on your use of this website generated by the relevant cookie is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and saved there.

The storage of Google Analytics cookies and the use of this analysis tool are based on Art. 6 para. 1 item f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both their website and their advertising.

IP anonymisation

We have activated the IP anonymisation function on this website. As a result of this, your IP address will be shortened by Google within the member states of the European Union or in other countries that are contracting parties to the agreement on the European Economic Area, before being transmitted to the United States. The full IP address is passed to a Google server in the USA and truncated there only in exceptional cases. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use the information obtained to evaluate your use of the website, create reports on website activities, and render further services relating to website use and internet use to the operator of this website. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not combined with other data from Google.

Browser Plugin

You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting the necessary settings in your browser software; however, please note that in this case you will not be able to fully utilise all of the functions of this website. Furthermore, you can prevent the acquisition of the data created by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available through the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Order processing

We have concluded a contract with Google for order processing and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

Demographic features of Google Analytics

This website uses the “Demographic features” function of Google Analytics. This allows reports to be created that contain statements about the age, gender and interests of the site visitors. This data comes from interest-related advertising by Google and from visitor data from third parties. This data cannot be associated with any particular person. You can disable this function at any time via the ad settings in your Google Account or generally block Google Analytics from collecting your data as described in the section "Opposition to data collection".
